No exercise walking for me today....cold, drizzly, windy, plus my legs feel tired, an unusual occurrence. I might consider Stairmaster when I return from my volunteering at the thrift shop. I'll be walking up a storm there, so I may end up taking today off.

Yesterday was a hungry day for me. Just couldn't seem to get things under control until I added a salad at about 8PM. My calories were over what I'd prefer, but what's a girl gonna do??? While I'm planning on another strawberry smoothie for today, I think I'll scale back on other sweet items (cantaloupe, whipped cream, etc.) as I suspect they were partially responsible for my hunger.

But I must give myself credit for not caving in to peanut butter!!! Oh, did I want that last night when I was hungry! I could just taste the creaminess....feel the crunchiness of the peanuts, etc. It was a BAD craving. I very nearly caved in, but talked myself into a much more adult response and had that salad instead. Then, I was fine.

If I was to start on peanut butter I am sure 1/2 the jar would vanish in a heart beat. So glad you didn't go there.

Karen, Nonna, and Dar....Why is it that Atkins allows nuts and nut butters so early in OWL (and nuts after 2 wks. of Induction) when they're so darn EVIL???!!! Like Karen, once I open the jar, well, the jar will be gone in short order.

Good evening Sandy - There is something about the cold weather that makes us hungry as a horse - and the nuts sure don't help! I'm sure as soon as things settle down you'll give more attention to portion control (or at least I'm hoping that for myself).

Morning, Sandy...I so hear you on that peanut butter craving...I, too, have been fighting it. So far, so good. I had a low carb yogurt last night...that seemed to take care of it for me. Hope you have a great day!

Buffy it sure seems like the colder it has gotten, the more I'm eating! Maybe I need to try to incorporate more warm beverages, like the tea you've suggested. Stay warm!

Stef, I wish I lived near a Krogers so I could sample that nice low-carb yogurt. The grocery chains here do not carry anything low carb, so I have to mix up some Greek yogurt with s/f preserves to get the same effect. It's a good combination, but I don't seem to eat enough of it to eat up all the yogurt before it goes bad. Have a great Thursday.
