I'm back from vacation and have 9 more pounds to show for it. LOL. Perhaps some of it is muscle as I was extremely active and often sore at night. The whole time away I was overcome by the sense of how much the average person eats on a regular day.
At the start of the trip, I often wasn't hungry when my hosts were and so took the social cues and amounts to eat from them. And the portion sizes! By the end of the trip, I just went along with them eating-wise and was back to eating sugar and dairy after 6 months cold turkey. The 9 pound gain probably came from my sugar fest. I viewed my vacation as a time to be free, indulge, remember old tastes and try them again. (My jeans felt tight on the plane home so I knew today world be a gain in the weight diary!)
Now that I'm back home, it's back to my healthy WOE: food tracking, portion control, no sugar, cutting back on artificial sweeteners, and no milk. I'm confident I'll return to my pre-vacation weight of 138 and then hit my goal of 133 in seemingly no time.
