Lots of people believe that one should not eat carbs after 6pm.

Personally, I have never followed this rule.

Have a read of this article. It really isn't bad for you according to this author.

It depends what your lifestyle and goals dictate. For many people for whom dinner is the most important (and biggest) meal of the day this would be most impractical. I know that if I start reducing my carbs at night time, I am starting to stabilise my blood sugars & lower my insulin (the fat storing hormone) many hours before I go to zzzz. If I am only eating at 12 midday the next day...I have had the health benefits of an "extended" fast even though I've had dinner the night before; albeit a low carb meal. I guess it comes down to the old saying "many ways to skin a cat"

Sorry, I didn't read the article. Just popped in here in between work, but to add to the heading statement, during the last 2 years which includes comp training and cutting, I've had 2 rice cakes and peanut butter (natural) as meal 6 (last meal of the day), from 2 different professional coaches/trainers

Very interesting read. It make sense that it's the "natural" way of eating. I always felt guilty for feeling like that "sweet" thing or that nice something after supper. Not that I will indulge now having read this LOL. It just helps understand what makes us human. And that all helps. Thanks for sharing the article BBO!
