Just when I talked about not needing as much sleep on Atkins, well, last night, I could barely keep my eyes open after 9PM and ended up sleeping about 10 hours last night! Where did that come from??!!

Cooler, cloudy, but humid today, so it just feels clammy. We've had off-and-on light showers, but the dogs and I managed to get 3.1 miles in during one of the "off" times.

There's a major change in weather headed our way later today or tonight. I'm going to try to get over to a mall today to take advantage of a sale on a fleece jacket. I love them and my old ones are showing their wear PLUS they're really large on me now. I almost gave one of them away but decided to keep it for doing outdoor work that tends to get dirty and/or messy. If I have on layers, it'll do just fine and I don't have to worry about keeping it nice.

Anyway, the newer fleece jackets at Lands' End, LL Bean, Duluth Trading, etc., all have straight ends on the sleeves instead of any kind of elastic....probably cheaper to manufacture that way. But, I've tried some on and they just feel wrong. They'll be letting a lot of cold air up into the sleeve. This one place at the mall had a photo of a jacket on sale - and it has the elastic on the sleeve!!! And, it's at a terrific price! Yay!!! Now let's hope they have them when I get there.

Some days we just need a good night's sleep. Good luck at the mall - I know how hard it can be finding exactly what you want.

LOL! I have trouble keeping my eyes open past 9pm EVERY night! All I can say is that you must have needed it, so it is good you got it. Hope you are well rested enough to really enjoy your trip to the mall looking for the perfect fleece!

I was kind of wondering when you said that you need less sleep being on Atkins. There were no such changes for me but I feel more energetic during the daytime. Usually I don't get more than 6 h, by choice, somehow never make it to bed before 11 pm and have to get up by 5 am. Weekends I might sleep a little longer. So, how was your trip to the mall?Had some fun? Did you get your fleece jacket? I hope so!

Morning Sandy...great job on the walk. Sure hope you got your jacket. I have been really tired lately also, and the other night I slept 12 hours...I never sleep that long, so, like you, not sure where that came from, but figured my body must have needed it. Daylight savings time ends the first weekend in November and that means it will be dark earlier, but light earlier in the morning. That should help me rise and shine! lol Have a great day!
