Outcomes from yesterday: no cheese = no diarrhea and white flour = need a nap an hour later. My weight stayed the same.

I am having a hard time with the 'doing something for myself' part of the Summer Vision challenge. For 30 years, people have been telling me to take care of myself and focus on what I need instead of focusing on the needs of others. They have a point.

I am keeping my food diary as honest as possible. I made BBQ sauce yesterday with tomatoes, apple, onion, honey, vinegar and spices. I used it in the crock pot with organic, pastured pork ribs. I am not wasting any of it. The bones are saved for bone broth. The fat is skimmed for cooking. I used a quarter cup of the sauce with my eggs this morning.

I logged organic BBQ sauce as the best available option. Not sure if I'll make this sauce again. It doesn't caramelize like the sauce I usually make, which contains sugar.

Regarding sugar, I am still open to maple syrup, molasses and honey. I am eliminating organic sugar, cane sugar, and evaporated cane juice (for now). I don't know how refined evaporated cane juice is and will need to research more.

I broke out today. 4 new zits >.<
