The more I research the more I'm convinced a primarily plant based diet plan is good for the body and in turn good for the environment. I will continue to reduce animal based products in my diet..It's a slow change but slowly on my way. Also getting rid of chemicals in my environment in many ways is a priority.

Yes, I am doing that too. I have replacing meat with meatless meatballs and crumbles for some meals they don't even know, lol!

Suzi, I've been slowing working on it for a couple years. A very interesting journey, leading me into many types of cuisines and flavors. I've eaten more pork and chicken lately cooking for others and having leftovers, I'm now craving no meat. Just the thought makes my stomach upset. MMMMMM Meatless meatballs, interesting. I like replacing meat with small red or adzuki beans as they have a rich flavor. Chicken with white beans like cannelloni or the Mexican ones that are similar. (blank on the name at the moment),

I stopped eating meat over a year ago (and I loved a nice steak) for the same reasons. "I can look at you in peace, I don't eat you anymore" ~ Franz Kafka (looking at a fish but could be any animal)

I went through a phase once of no meat but craved hamburgers before the week was out. Are you eating fish? Just wondered. I might be able to eat beans in different ways and fish several times a week.... maybe. LOL!

A plant-based diet is definitely great for your blood cholesterol. And it's associated with good health in a bunch of other ways. Go for it!

There are many benefits to a plant based diet....it's not my thing but it works for you, hope you continue to do great getting the animal products out of your diet.

I'm totally going back to vegitarian or vegan once my weight has dropped much more. I feel horrible for eating animals but... when I said I'd kill to lose weight. I meant it....

Plant Based diet is good, but does not necessarily mean vegetarian. "Meat and Two Veg" is an old saying but still true today

I missed some of these posts, sorry life has been crazy busy. Mostly plants a bit of animal as a flavor and a fish meal about once a week is how I feel best. A rare beef or pork, mostly when I cook for others and chicken the same way. More and more meat simply is not what my body wants, just the thought of it often me cringe. Making some veggie burgers this weekend. Recently I made a "beef" stew with about 8 servings with 2 ounces of beef, that was more than plenty, the rest was veggies. Even eggs often make me think, dang I'm eating an embryo of a chicken, gross, I wouldn't eat an embryo of any other animal. So less and less dependency on eggs as well. So just my reaction. So slowly switching to WOE as mostly plants. Increasing hard for me to eat the muscles of animals.

Dang WFN, you are really turning into a vegetarian. As long as you feel strong and maintain your healthy fortitude, you are doing fantastic! You must keep us informed step by step how you are doing.
