I am wondering if moving this electronic scale affects its accuracy. Each time I take it with me somewhere, the readings seem to be inconsistent for a while and several readings within minutes of one another vary. Could be the scale.

Yes and the scale can be affected by drinking or eating just before weighing too. I trust my tape measure and the scale kind of follows along up and down 2-3 lbs.

Make sure it's on a hard surface for best results. Check the battery, also.

Yup. Thanks. Even eating one egg moves it. The problem I am seeing is when I step off, wait until it stops reading and step on again, it can change by a few tenths. This only happens after travelling with it and I do make sure I have it on a hard, flat surface. After a day or two, it becomes consistent again.
