So last week I was once again in Hawaii - hubby & I are moving there, we're having a house built but it will be several months to finish. Anyway, I got back Sunday & only gained 2 lbs this time, likely due to not drinking any alcohol. Hubby's on Ozempic now for his diabetes & booze just makes him too sick. Before we left my weight fluctuated between 154 & 156, definitely lower than the beginning of the year, but I wanted to lose this vacation weight.

Anyway, I decided to try this new thing, the 30-30-30 plan. It's a Tic Toc thing & probably pretty dumb. You consume 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of getting out of bed, and then do 30 minutes of low intensity steady state (LISS) cardio. I admit I'm skeptical. The protein is supposed to rev up your metabolism (doubtful), plus 30 grams is A LOT of protein! The only way I can do it is with the Premier Protein shakes I've been drinking anyway. Then you're essentially doing fasted cardio, another thing I'm skeptical about. It's supposed to be better for burning fat, we'll see. I'm on Day 4, and today is the first day I didn't need a short nap afterwards, LOL! Of course, I'm also battling a head cold. Well the vacation weight is already gone, so we'll see if this gets me below 154 lbs. If nothing else, I'm getting up and moving alot sooner! Retirement has made me lazy, I can spend 2 hrs in the morning drinking coffee & listening to smooth jazz. Well THAT explains the weight gain!
