Bionici's Journal, 28 Dec 23

It finally turned cold in Middle Tennessee. Christmas was about 70 degrees, and we had some of the windows open. Tuesday and Wednesday the weather started cooling off, and then today it was definitely on the colder side. Having previously lived in the north for many years, it was not Northern cold, but I would have been happier with a sweater and jacket. Also, I was back on the bike again today, rode 21+ miles, and started limiting my calories to the normal range again. It felt good to be on the bike, though my knees and legs were sluggish after not having exercised since last Friday or Saturday. The calories, for the most part have not been recorded since last Friday. It is difficult to record calories & intake accurately when the amounts & types of food are so varied and different. Plue, there were so many sweets, I just enjoyed the down time and gained a few pounds. But,...enough is enough. I hit 210.8 this A.M., and so it is time to be focused and energized. The goal is 185 to 190 by the end of April / May, and of course stay there overall. Everyone have a wonderful New Year's. Keep focused, keep exercising, and keep losing / maintaining the weight. God is good !!

Sounds like you are back on track. Good job. Colder here and snowing. Have a great new year!

MotriciaAddams, it feels good to be back on the bike. Plus, I am sure much of the weight gain was due to salt intake over the last 10 days or so. Christmas and Thanksgiving are always tough on me from a food & calorie intake standpoint, and I am sure that is true for many people. I was back on the bike this A.M., but the legs really did not like the activity today. The minutes are there, but the milege is off. But, I just let the legs do what they can. No sense forcing them. Hope you are having a great holiday season. Tom
