Finally, I'm back down to 203. 3 days of large meals took a week to get off the extra 4+ pounds. And, in 5 more days (actually 3 since family is coming 2 days early), the Thanksgiving feast will be here. I really love our Thanksgiving meal. My wife and daughters are great meal planners, chefs, and women. BUT, it definitely comes with a price. I am committed to weighing less than 200 by year end. This week and Christmas week will be difficult. A good thing is that I got all of my bloodwork completed about a week ago, and the results were outstanding. I was especially looking at my A1C (5.4), and glucose which was normal. What I didn't understand was that my "average glucose" was a little high. It just didn't make sense. Also, all of the results for HDL, LDL, cholesterol, etc... were very good. Keeping one's diet in check and exercising truly works. The long term journey works. My father once told me in the mid-1990s, "Get your weight & eating under control. Otherwise it will catch up to you". It was food for thought for me. The other side is that I waited until 2018 until starting the journey for good. I am so Thankful of all of the total support from my FS Friends. Your journeys, stories, and support truly help,....all of us. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving week, keep focusing, keep exercising, and keep losing / maintaining your weight. It's time to get on the bike and work off some more calories. God is good !!
