I saw my endocrinologist yesterday, in order for me to lose weight I need to cut my carbs to under 100 g a day and bring my calories down to 1000 a day. I should be staying at 1300 to maintain my weight. He also said that the more I exercise, the more I will want to eat. He recommended that I only do simple stretches to keep flexible and to walk 30 minutes a day.

I thought so too, but he said that I can do it to lose the weight. Then slowly increase the calories to see how much I need to maintain.

Please see your family doctor, or at least a dietitian, regularly while on this very low-calorie diet! It can be very difficult to keep nutritional intake balanced on such a strict regimen.

I sure hope this is to deal with something other than just weight loss…otherwise I’d be looking for a secondary opinion from another practitioner.

If I find that it's too low for me I will add more calories. I'm dealing with menopause issues. Hormone imbalance sucks.

I hear you. Right now in my house I’ve got one in peri-menopause and a pre-teen girl. Hormones are all over the place! 🤪
