Sunday was a rather "bump in the road" for me. That is the I do not exercise, and of course try to eat a little lighter. Breakfast was normal, lunch was a little high, but nothing that is earth shattering. Then, we were invited to come to a friend's home with some other people and have an ice cream party to celebrate some teenagers going off to college. For many people, including me, ice cream is a favorite dessert. One cannot turn down ice cream, and they were also made into very large sundaes with ALL of the toppings. It is kind of difficult to determine the number of calories etc...for a party dinner like that. So, I went to the FS food and chose "ice cream sundae with chocolate syrup & whip cream", and then doubled the amount. I am confident that was not enough. And, this A.M., I woke up having mysteriously gained almost 4 pounds. I am sure part of it was salt & water retention from the lunch meal. But ice cream plus a couple of prunes and dates when I got home was my dinner. BTW, those sundaes were delicious. So, it was a bump in the road and a little of a setback. However, I am back on the bike today and road 23.25 miles. My breakfast & lunch were normal with a total of about 700 for the 2 meals. And, my dinner will be about 700 - 800 calories. In any event, it was a great weekend, and I hope that everyone else had a wonderful & productive weekend. Everyone keep focusing, keeping exercising, and keep losing / maintaining your weight. God is good !!

otb123, thanks. I try to ride 5 days a week for about 80 - 90 minutes which turns out to be between 22 and 24 miles each day. The 6th day (Tuesday) I play golf, and of course I need a break from activity on the 7th. There are several activities I would love to do, but previous injuries prevent it. Also, I worked out with weights during my college years and afterwards for many years, and that created some issues in the joints. Such is life. I do what I can do, and enjoy life. Also, I am a sucker for ice cream also, whether it be the dipped or soft serve. I just have to limit myself and eat it just occasionally.
