that is why I love spaghetti squash. 😁 I can eat a lot of it and still not worry as much about the calories. Blueberries and salad serve a similar function...

the mind likes to mess with us that's for sure and OmG that slice sounds amazing and completely worth it!

Oh yes to the programming of “not enough.” For awhile I had to stop logging food until bedtime because if I had extra calories leftover, it was a goal to reach that mark instead of looking at it like a daily limit. So I’d eatore dinner or a snack or dessert. Very hard to break that mentality for me.

they say eating slow helps the message gets to your brain that you are full. I sometimes devour food because I am not paying attention and slowing down to savor that yummy sounding slice and being thankful for good food might help.

I've done that with steak. I portioned out 5 oz but ended up eating the whole 8.5 oz!

@vheese. Exactly me too. I can’t have a stocked fridge. It’s like pressure I need to eat to make sure things don’t go bad and my OCD kicks in and I have to eat something from every shelf.
|
@shane oh I was full but it just didn’t seem like enough food. I don’t have the normal hungry not hungry feeling most people have
|
@momo me too that’s why I set the limit so low I try to trick myself like setting the clock 10min early.
|
@gwz & otb I have never had spaghetti squash. I’m gonna have to try it one day. I’m more a zoddles girl.
