Transformation Tuesday.

This is where I was earlier in my journey vs. where I am now.

Early, I made the mistakes that are common. large calorie deficits, combined with a ton of cardio. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot through experience/education.

One of the biggest mistakes is the large calorie deficit paired with large amounts of cardio. While this tends to work in the short term, it is not sustainable in the long. The result tends to be yo-yo type fluctuations. Fortunately, information and education is easier to come by these days. But on the flip side of that is all the misinformation that also surfaces. There are no absolutes in health and fitness. There is not one best form of diet or exercise. The most effective we can be is going with what the majority of the weight of the scientific literature tells us, rather than some fringe idea that uses cherry picked studies that give the results they are after while ignoring the majority of the evidence that counters these “facts”. Anytime someone says something like: “Forget everything you know about…” or any of the other click bait style “influencers” There are, unfortunately, a lot of snake oil salesmen, and charlatans out there.
