AuntieJan's Journal, 11 Jul 11

Got some sleep today! I didn't sleep well last night due to leftover adrenaline and strange dreams. This morning I accomplished a trip to Publix to buy groceries, and made a healthy supper. I took a nap for about 3 hours this afternoon which actually left me more rested than the sleep last night.

My sister's three sons came over today to visit for a while and to discuss finances and other practical matters... I have been very emotional since they left. The concern, love and support they have shown for their mom touched me deeply and I am so glad they are trying their best to get her moving in the right direction. Of course I was involved as well since this is also my house and we have to work together to keep it and keep it up. I know she is grieving her husband, that is something personal that she has to do herself.

She is resistant to change, but the crossroads are dead in front of her and it is truly time to sink or swim.

I feel energized knowing that I now have all three sons on board with me and they are committed to helping their mom have a healthier, happier life. However, she has to join the fight or it just won't work. This, as anyone that has read my journals the last few months know, is something I know a whole lot about and I have been trying my best to relate this to her that it might help her as well. I just want her to know the happiness and joy that I now experience. How she arrives at it, or if she arrives at it, is completely up to her, but I will be there for her every step of the way along with her sons.

So it's back to the gym with me tomorrow, and after that I'll see what else I can get into. Maybe I'll make up some more silly stories to share!

Peace to all and pleasant dreams.

Congratulations on sending another pound to the place where they are never seen again! Good for you, Auntie! I'm so glad you were able to get in a restorative nap today. You certainly have earned it! What a blessing that your nephews are joining you in helping their mother. I will continue to pray for your sister and all of you. As you know, I've been concerned about her for quite a while. Turn it over to God and do your best. You've certainly set a good example for her of what a change in attitude and expectations can achieve. God bless you all. I'm sending you lots of hugs to share will all including the furbabies!

Thank you Pam. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful, caring family, and that includes my fs family as well. I can't do it for her, but I can support and love her always. I think I will be happy to get back to the gym tomorrow. Bless you and thank you again for sharing your love and insight with me. Butterfly dreams my friend.

Enjoy your gym Madame B - all you can do is be there for your sister, she will heal in her own time, but will be so glad to know you are there :)
