abbadabba's Journal, 08 Dec 22

Figured out that the fasting works better if I plan to eat a heavier meal at night and eat light during the day.
Lots of clean up, need to move furniture to put up the tree. My BF was sweet - I said we would have to hang out at his place because mine is so messy and he said he was fine being at my house no matter what condition. Granted, he has never seen it in the "middle of changing everything" messes that I get into sometimes but that was nice of him. Now that Uber is running better I don't even have to pick him up to get him here.
I am staying busy in retirement. Hoping to have a holiday party here or maybe two, and I have volunteer things to do a couple of times a week. My pets are getting spoiled though!
Trying not to think about the permanent plateau I seem to be in but not successful at that.

Mine is opposite of yours, Abbadabba. My breakfast has more calories than lunch and dinner; dinner has fewer calories. At night, our body changes to a resting mode, including the digestive system, and prepares to use energy from saved fat, as per doctors. Therefore, an early or light dinner helps lose weight and for good sleep. Importantly, it is good to prevent GERD and other stomach problems. Indeed, it helps me. 😄

My dinner is usually my highest calorie meal. The exception is if I go out for lunch, then I usually eat lighter @ dinner. I also eat a late dinner....usually between 7:30 & 8. Dessert after, then I don't eat again til around 11 to noon the next day. Exception is coffee. I may eat earlier in the AM if I'm going out before noon. That works perfectly for me. I'm retired, so I make my own schedule.
