I'm going to say it ahead of time that if I reach 160 I am definitely rewarding myself with a cheat meal. When I go too long without rewarding myself I tend to fall off track. I'm proud of myself so far! What does everyone think about cheat meals? Do you believe it's right to reward yourself once you reach a certain goal in your progression?

I personally do cheat days almost every week. I don't view them as rewards though, I view them as a normal part of a healthy diet. I mean no one is going to be spot on every single day so by just planning it for one day it helps me stay more on track the rest of the week. If I don't plan so well at some point during the week and wind up having an unplanned cheat day then I will skip my planed cheat day. For me it allows more flexibility. However, I know not everyone can let go just one day so I would advice you to do what is best for you. Happy journey.

I just plan for what I want. If you want a certain meal at a restaurant, look up the calories and plan it in to your day. I try not to think of food as a reward because it puts emotions with food, which isn't a good thing. Food is fuel. I reward myself with non food items. I do an extra workout, and eat a lighter breakfast and lunch. Instead of food, get a manicure, a fitness magazine subscription, a new workout outfit, etc.
