Bionici's Journal, 10 Oct 22

After coming from the hospital on 10/5, I tried to eat more to keep my energy up since I had lost so much blood with the GI issue. I've been averaging about 1700 calories per day, but that is probably not enough even though I have been inactive. There were 3 pounds that came off since 10/2 which is fine, but I want to keep my hemoglobin stats up so that there are no negative effects. My daughter made some wonderful cherry cobler for me, my wife, her and her 2 daughters. That was a wonderful treat after eating hospital food for a few days. Plus, my wife grilled us a ribeye steak one night. She knew I wanted a steak and it felt great to have normal food. Hopefully, it also help raise the hemoglobin stats a little. There is a time to confine the calories, and then there is a time to just let go and eat the comfort food. It's that time. This will be an ongoing challenge since the bleed was a result of taking a regimen of NSAIDS to combat the pain from some vertabrae issues in my back. Now, it's time to find out if the back issues and knee damage need some surgery. I hope everyone is keeping focused, living a wonderful life, and enjoying the journey. Be well !!
