Good morning FS fam. I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was beautiful out here in NY. The rain finally stopped. I did ok this weekend eating-wise since I indulged last weekend. I did get a little annoyed with my friend who wanted to eat and I didn't. I said I wasn't hungry and I'd order a drink while he ate. He was insistent that I eat. Trying to tell me that's why I was recently sick because I don't eat enough and that if I'm trying to lose weight I should just add more cardio to my routine. I snapped... it annoys me when people try to guilt me into eating when I'm not hungry or just don't want to and then they proceed to tell me to exercise (#$%^&)
Of course he's naturally thin and has issues gaining weight. I ended up snapping at him and telling him that weight loss isn't about more exercise. It's more about what I put in my face. Why would I eat 300calories and spend 2hrs on the treadmill to try to burn it off when I could just not eat it! Especially when I'm not hungry and it's only to keep him from eating alone? Why do people feel bad about eating in front of others who aren't eating? This has always baffled me. If I wanna eat and you just wanna watch I don't have an issue with it. I'll offer you some of my food of course to be polite but that's about it. Can any explain this phenomenon to me?

Ok so that was the only annoying part, the rest of the weekend was perfect. I went to an off Broadway (Kinky boots), and had a gorgeous day of hiking. Trying to see the fall colors. The trees are just starting to change an hour north of the city. Next weekend should be better if not peak! I cant wait! I'm a sucker for a hike with a view.
Oh and I had a good climbing session. Finally did some flagging that felt natural. I just need to focus more on slowing down, and keeping calm.

So much truth in what you wrote! I change the subject if people get vocal and weird about me not eating or just picking at a salad if I'm not hungry. It probably also wasn't your idea to sit down for a meal, was it P$M? To them, it's like lighting a joint and then they're the only one smoking it -- you're refusing their hospitality and making them feel selfish and guilty for indulging. Never mind that the conversation and company is the point.

I'm sorry you feIt unsupported by your friend, Ican relate..my husband's family gives me a hard time because I chose to eat healthy and mostly no processed. They tell me I'm anorexic and try to force food on me...I've learned to deal with it but I admit it's hurtful. You be you and let noone tell you what is best for you.. Your hike sounds wonderful. And I heard Kinky Boots is a great show! 💜

I have my triggers... Oh, boy. I am working to become more aware of what sets me off. So that when I'm in a situation that DOES set me off, I don't let it spend a lot of time circulating in the central processing unit upstairs, if you catch my drift. But I totally, totally get you. ❤️‍🔥

@diana it was a great show. I highly recommend for a fun night. @gwz yep guilting me to eat is definitely one of my triggers. I’ve used it’s as a first date red flag. Other thing I’ve noticed. Everytime I write about this I have to correct the word I use from forced to guilt. I guess deep down inside I feel like I have no choice.
