Happy Monday FS fam and for those celebrating Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I for sure ate badly this weekend and feel like 💩. I had a fun Friday night at San Gennaro Feast. I ate way too much... sausage and peppers, cannoli, deep fried Oreos and funnel cake. I did my best and shared everything so it wasn't horrendous but I made the mistake of taking home left overs. I ate the left over funnel cake which I'm not a big fan of but still once I started eating it last night it was over. I have the worst indigestion today.
Other than that, on Saturday I started my strength training for climbing. It was pretty easy since I'm going slow/ small and building up (kettlebell deadlift, goblet squats, ring rows, leg lifts and Arnold press). I felt fine after but when I went to dry my hair and flip it over I felt my back. It's not sore but holding my weight like that... well my head has never felt as heavy as it did. Even this morning it was the same. Maybe I need to deadlift less. Maybe it's age ?!? I'm even sore today from my hike on Sunday which never happens. My inner thighs are killing me. Normally hikes hurt my feet (plantar fasciitis) and my knees (arthritis). I seem to blame everything on old age. I think maybe I'll take an active rest day today and climb tomorrow. To climb or to spin cycle that is the question!!
