Hello FS community! 👋🏻🌞

Sharing 2 more very VERY basic tips that have helped me all along the way! Seriously, log every single thing we eat...weigh it (grams is the easiest for me), measure it, count it, write it down, put it in our food apps, note the macros, etc but we need to own up to every bite🍴 It's the only way we'll ever really be able to track our CICO fairly accurately and know for sure whether our WOE is working for us. No shame, no guilt...just be honest with ourselves! 😇

Being patient is SO VERY DIFFICULT in the weight loss journey...but it's the best way to establish lasting (permanent) habits, learn more about nutrition & fitness (at WHATEVER level we can achieve results) and ramping up our self-care skills....this all TAKES TIME! There may be methods that bring rapid results, but the folks that are able to lose weight and keep it off are the ones that truly 'get it' about moderation & balance.

As we start this new week, let's remember to be mindful & patient...with ourselves AND with each other🌷💙🌷 I'm so glad to be a part of this community😊

I find logging immediately makes a huge difference. For one thing, I doubt I'd fully remember what I ate for breakfast at the end of the day. And for another, monitoring my protein, fiber and calories as I go let's me choose a dinner that fills in any gaps. Great advice! 👍

yeah I gained 2 lbs since last weekend. I went to a wedding and then had out of town guests over. lots of restaurants. I didn't even bother ( since I didn't have the info anyway)

Wow, so true. When I am totally honest, food to diary, I lose weight at 80 yrs old. Need to, I/m type 2 with mild high blood pressure. Telling it like it is. 94 blood sugar this morning!

The other tip is no matter what happens, pick you self up and PERSIST. It can be done. Lost 60 lbs at 79. Now fighting the "bounce" of self indulgence on having achieved goal. From Women's 22 to size 12 is so nice !! I need to stay in my new clothes.

DeeDee, that's ok! Life happens 🤷🏻‍♀️ We just wake up the next day and start fresh and cherish the memories of time together with loved ones. Those couple of pounds will soon be history again 👍💙

lovelyday, my advice is to just keep moving throughout the day. Lately, I start up the "other workout" on my smart watch and let it run for any/all the time I am not sleeping. It's been interesting to see how many calories I burn doing just simple activities during the day. 🚶🏻‍♀️🛒🎮💻📺🍴🚗🧺🛁😊
