Day Two on the Whole30 diet (Paleo). Hardest part is no snacking (love my snacking - that is why I am the size I am). No sugar, means no chocolate after lunch - even dark chocolate has some sugar - hard to find without) I did roast some cocoa beans the other night for my chocolate fix, have to watch when I eat due to the caffeine. Feeling good

So, once you roast the cocoa beans what do you do with them?

How often do you plan to weigh in? Giving up real chocolate, I think I'd want to see daily drops :)

With the Whole30 diet you weigh in after 30 days. The focus is on eating healthy.
The cocoa beans you can eat by themselves. Basically crunched up they are known as nibs. They are a little bitter - like a very dark chocolate bar 90%. You can add it to a trail mix. Last time I roasted a batch I brought them to a soccer tournament. Made me very hyper with the caffeine, which is good with playing soccer with 2 teams.

A snack is a carrot. Chocolate, coffee with sugar and a piece of toast is a habit.

Have tried cocoa beans and the coffee beans, good but as you say lots of caffeine. Eating an orange and a few strawberries after dinner. A perfect dessert after a spicy dinner.
