abbadabba's Journal, 20 Jun 22

Saturday I was looking out the window when my canvas tent lifted off its legs and tipped itself over in the wind. 3 hours later I had it reassembled and all the contents sorted. Need to fix my shed so I can get all the stuff back into it, and then set up my new tent over a seating area for BBQ season.
Found a book that includes a month of 1200 calorie daily menus. I am going to see if I can follow along with that. Lots of outings this month and next so will sub the best I can.
Happy Monday, hope you had a great weekend!

Other than the tent escaping it sounds good. I would love a cookbook with 1200 calorie meals.

There's usually plenty of watermelon at BBQ's and picnics, which is very filling with all the water and fiber. Pair with a burger and skip the potato/macaroni salads and chips, and no harm done.

My RMR (resting metabolic rate) is right at around 1200 calories. That’s the amount of calories it takes for my body to perform just the essential functions. After months of calorie counting and experimenting where I felt “good”, I don’t feel right w my diabetes 2 going under 1500. Most days I feel good at 1550-1650. My maintenance is around below 1890. At 1200, for me, I always felt hangry. Every person is different but you might want to find an RMR calculator on-line to see what your minimum calories requirement is.

Depending on your soil- try either dog screws (I got ours at Dollar tree) or 12 inch (or longer) galvanized nails. 30+ years of camping from Texas to Maine to Pennsylvania to Florida and everywhere in between. Never lost a tent/canopy no matter the wind speed.
