Good mornin! It's Warm-Up Wednesday🏃‍♂️

Fat Secret is mainly a food-related site, but it's also a WELLNESS site, because there are so many FACTORS that have a direct effect on our successful weight loss/maintenance.

Many of us have added some sort of exercise plan to our journeys as a way to burn more calories and also to gain muscle strength, endurance, toning & MANY other health benefits. It's much easier to be successful maintaining a calorie deficit (absolutely necessary for weight loss!) if we've added some 'movement' to our daily routine.

I recently got a new Galaxy4 smartwatch to help me with that part of my wellness journey. It connects with Samsung Health, where I'm finding plenty of low-intensity, strength training workouts & stretching routines that are appropriate for my age & physical ability. I'm still learning how to navigate this new tracking device and hope I can figure out how to also log my exercise sessions from YouTube, where I'm always on the lookout for interesting warm-up videos to get me started.

Even if ALL WE DO is the warm-ups...we got up and moved! Yay!! I hope we can all find more ways to add movement to our day and burn a few extra calories as a result! You all continue to inspire and encourage me every single day...THANK YOU so much! This is such a warm & supportive community and I'm so glad we discovered it, aren't you??!

Thanks Crystaljo! The chest expansion exercises along with the shoulder and neck are low intensity and so great for stress relief. So many of us carry our worries in our upper backs and neck and these gentle stretches have really helped me. For the alt chest expansion, pretending your arms are the hands of a clock,raising the arm overhead and reaching for 2 o'clock with the left and then 10 o'clock with the right arm will give a little extra stretch that I've found helps my back too.

Absolutely CrystalJo. This site with all the tools (many I hadn't realized are here) and the community/support has been a lifesaver. And you know how much I appreciate your posts. Happy 4th of July weekend! :-)
