Sandy701's Journal, 08 May 11

More wonderful sun and warmth yesterday and today. DH took the dogs walking both days so I'm getting a treat of 2 days off.

Yesterday, I finished up the laundry from my dog's escapade on our bed on Friday. Also took apart and cleaned the pool's cartridge filter, pump strainer basket, inspected a salt cell and put everything back together again, making a list of some minor repair parts to pick up in the next few weeks. The water temperature was 72 degrees yesterday but it had been up to 76 earlier last week, so it won't be long now until we can hop in. Of course, the dogs have been in the water since the water was 50 degrees!!

I tried the limited edition, Amazing Race version of papaya mango Diet Snapple and it's AWESOME!!! Great change of pace for a beverage. And the finale of the Amazing Race is on tonight, so I'll be sipping on this tea all the while. BTW, the tea is pretty much zero everything, with 2 servings per container, so one just has to account for 1 NC for the sweetener in it.

I'm really tired today, so I know I need to be careful, as I tend to want to eat when I'm tired. I've had most of my food already, as planned, so it's just a nice big salad for dinner and then some watermelon as a later night snack.

Back to walking and the rest of the grind tomorrow.

Hi Sandy, I like Mondays as thats when the routine begins again. Its harder to sick with the program on the weekends. But I really try... Glad you got a couple of days off from walking the doggies. Have a great evening.......Bren

Sandy-I've had a day when I've had the "nibbles" too. Maybe Monday will be better.

Bren, it's definitely true that it's easier to stay right on plan on weekdays when DH is back at work. Sundays have always been hard balancing a satisfying breakfast and chicken leg quarters after church...not much left for later in the day. Here's to Monday!

BuffyBear, at least I think I know why I got the nibbles today and actually had some peanuts. I had a very short "conversation" with my mom that just really brought home, yet again, how far away Alzheimers has taken her. Just a sad day, even though I heard her voice. As I said to Bren, "Here's to Monday."
