I am really working towards losing another 18 pounds in 3 months . I just don't want to have to purchase new summer clothes, feel hot and sweety. I walk to like putting clothes on and feel ok with the way I look. I am 56 in June and I just don't feel myself anymore. Going through major Menopause ( had cancer and needed to have a hysterectomy last year). I just don't know where I fit in anymore you know. My children are 19 and 20 and don't really need me anymore. I retired from work due to illness and I am bored and feel like I have no purpose. I started volunteering this week for the spca animal shelter. I am doing sales in their store with proceeds that go towards the organizations. I do their social media posts and also contact local business for items they can donate to us for us to sell. Sorry I am rambling. I do like it but I just don't feel that I fit in anymore. Did any of the other Woman go through this after Menopause and empty nest? wow, So sorry for rambling bot even food related but I have gained back weight after Menopause, depression and stress. thanks for everyone's support out their.

Hi, thank you for the follow. I am also empty nesting. And it is awful not to feel as important to our children anymore but I’ve been told that this is just a phase. Our little ones are carving their own independent places in this world. When they are done and settling down and having families of their own, they will be back because they will need us again. I have fibromyalgia, so I am not able to work full time but I do work part time and even though my body is full of aches and pains every day, I enjoy my job. Gets me out of the house and gives me something to do. I think it’s awesome that you are volunteering with the SPCA. It sounds like a busy but interesting place to work. I am pre menopause, dealing with a lot of hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain. I wasn’t a very happy camper until I found this group. Now I am looking forward to each day keeping track of my calories, exercising and connecting with others that are doing the same.

I am back posting of this site and noticed your long supportive comment you sent to me a while ago now. Thanks so much for sharing and your time. I am so glad I read your post today, I needed to hear it. I just posted a new post today in regards to my struggles and feelings. I also have fibro, headaches daily and extreme neck shoulder and massage to get better. How do you exercise and work through your pain ?
