Thinking a lot today about the ads on the TV and radio. So many are these magic weight loss schemes: they promise incredible weight lose by using their product with NO work. They are a lot of BS and annoy me. These companies are bilking their customers out of thousands of dollars when they can modify their diet, exercise and lose weight interesting healthy manner and not spend all those $$$ on stuff that doesn't work in the long run. Sorry ticks me off.

People at work ask me what I think about these, I tell them thoughts. They all know I've lost weight, rather obvious. They go away and spend their hard earned $$ on crap diets and supplements, then tell me they can't follow a diet. Tell them again and it goes round and round.

Eat a diet of a reasonable calorie amount healthy whole foods, don't take unnecessary drugs, exercise and you will eventually get to a healthy weight. If you do low carb follow that plan with whole foods and exercise. Do it! Do it! Log your food and exercise it works!

having worked on wall street for over 30 years , i relate it all to investments---dont go for the latest hot stock...dont try to get rich overnight...dont jump out of a quality stock or fund because it went down big a couple days...get a proven strategy and get in for the long term...stay diversified.....dont check its value everyday.....get help/support or at least a second opinion..hard to do it yourself!!!!! sorta relates huh?

I took a diet pill that a boss (worked in a restaurant) gave me in college (1969 or 70), as it was exam time to help me stay awake and study. I was zooming around for days, didn't sleep for 5 days then crashed and lost 2 entire days asleep. Made it through exams. Never ever took anything like that again!!! Decided those were not good for me LOL! They did contain speed at that time.

NM, yup it works, 1.5 hours at the doing weights etc. after work today, tried to do some cardio after, made it 5 min and my leg muscles were shaking too hard, guess they needed a break. Fat Ed, defiantly relates (work for a transfer agent for a mutual fund company (DWS used to be Scudder or Kemper).

Chillie, that would not have been good for your body. Wasn't good on mine losing 30 gaining it back over and over then gaining 60 back the last time. No, no, no, am not doing this again. Now that it gone it will stay gone. Never did the supplement thing. Mostly Atkins, which for me doesn't work for long so I could not follow through with the maintenance part.

Draglist, glad your sister is following your lead, eat healthy and exercise. I so wish people would think about what they do to themselves. I've been guilty as well, drinking too much beer.
