3.3 miles walked this morning, bundled up a bit, as it dropped into the 40's last night!! Doggies only got to go for 1.8 due to an unknown loose dog about 2 houses down from us. I opted to not go that way at all, so that cut down the poochies' mileage.

Yesterday, I had a hard time limiting my peanuts and peanut butter. I could have eaten even more!!! It was a real mental game to force myself to stop. What IS it about peanuts???? Even the peanut butter I was snarfing was a natural peanut butter with only 1 g. of sugar, compared to the Jif brand which I think has maybe 3 g. added sugar.

So, for today...again....NO peanuts and NO peanut butter. I will say one thing....peanut butter certainly takes care of the hungries and the feeling of being full lasts a good long time.

Today, I made a strawberry smoothie from the recipe in the Atkins book. It is just so-o-o-o good! And, the strawberries were on special this week and boy, are they HUGE! I have no idea what variety of strawberry it is, but they are gigantic. Just 2 strawberries were 2.25 oz! I had to adjust my recipe ingredients in my food diary to reflect the higher weight of the strawberries; not a huge difference, but I try to keep it real.

Hi Sandy, Can't you do something about those loose dogs? That is not at all fair to your doggies. Around here it is illegal so animal control could be called. You had told me about that smoothie recipe but for some reason I'm afraid it would trigger my sweet tooth and I wouldn't be able to stop at one.

Hey there, Buffy Bear. Yes, it's illegal here too. But being in a smaller city, animal control is contracted out to a service in a neighboring city. By the time they actually get there, the animals are often nowhere to be found. Unless they can capture the animal or you know whose animal it is, you're out of luck. The dog this AM was one I hadn't seen before, so I've no clue as to whose it is. Could be one belonging to a contractor, for all I know. By the time I finished walking myself, the animal was not anywhere that I could see. BTW, those smoothies are AWESOME! It might indeed trigger a sweet tooth.
