This is why I calorie cycle - having lower calories in the week - so I can enjoy a burger and wedges over the weekend.

Hi do you calorie count I was doing 1200 but many people have told me that is not enough , you make sence saving calories for weekends

Yes, I count calories as accurately as possible - weighing everything I eat - and I work with the daily average. On the app there is a button at the bottom of the food diary called Reports, which shows you the total and daily calories for the week. So I am currently aiming for 1800 daily average so I try to stick to under 1500 Monday to Thursday and then I have some more to play around with over the weekend. I have previously reached my goal using 1600 as the daily average so then week days would be 1200-1300, but I'm just not managing that these days so doing what I can. What keeps me sane, but still with very slow weight loss and hopefully building some muscle. I know I would be too hungry on 1200 calories so that wouldn't work for me. You may want to try using a calorie calculator or TDEE calculator online to try and work out where a good place to start is for you. There are YouTube videos with great explanations and advice as well if you want to search calorie cycling. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Nikina70 I checked out the TDEE you mentioned. It recommended I eat 1000 kcals!! Bit ridiculous, right?! Considering at the moment I eat 1500-1600 and am still losing about 1 pound a week even though I'm in a healthy BMI

Hi aggieliz. The calculators online can be very flawed so I would stick with what you're doing. Or you might have filled in your activity as sedentary when you're actually more active? From what I've seen on your recent posts you put me to shame with your daily walks - I am very impressed! You're doing really well! 👍
