Beware. Just when you think you can let your guard down, don't forget what got you there. Switched up cereal to Special K Lowfat Granola last week and was just eating without paying attention to calories. Felt so bloated all week and when the scale said I added 5 pounds I finally decided to investigate further. It seems my breakfasts may have went from around 225 calories per day to 650-820 calories per day. Pretty pissed at myself for letting my guard down.

Wow! That's insane. I think if I can get to my goal weight, I'll still have to count calories or be aware of my weight for the rest of my life. I've been obsessed with it since I was 10, so I don't see why that would change. It just seems like you work so hard to get to a goal that it is amazing how fast 5 pounds could come back. Anyway, what's in that cereal? I know granola can be higher calorie, but man!

It is sad that we have to constantly check packaging for calories and nutrition facts. I have had products switch on me too - same product, new facts. What a pain! Hang in there - the way you drop weight it will be gone by Friday :-)

Had something similar happen to me. Use to get 2 creams in the coffee, figuring like 35 cals per cream. Well turns out it's 180 cals for 2... so I'm off by 110 calories per day or 770 per week. I doubt you could actually gain 5 lbs in one week.... might just be extra glycogen that can come off pretty easy.

@love more carbs than I thought and some extra corn syrup. @Role, the calories didn't change, I just didn't check...oops lol and @matt, thats what I thought too, 5 was an incredible amount. I am incredibly bloated, thats for sure. Back to my regular Special K tomorrow and will report back.
