analisa1968's Journal, 15 May 14

I have my weigh in tomorrow, and I'm feeling nervous about it. I feel as though I haven't lost anything this week. I'm looking at my calories and there is a deficit in the intake, meaning I'm burning more than I'm taking in. I slipped up yesterday and had a chicken mcnugget and 2 french fries from McDonald's. I felt guilty afterwards, and to be honest, it didn't even taste good. Wish I could lose this weight at a faster rate, and I guess see some results. Week 3 on this way of eating. I'm not giving up, I guess I'm just feeling a little low because I thought by now I'd feel a difference in my clothes. Any vets out there on Atkins, can you please check out my food entries and see if I am doing what I should be. Thanks so much! :) Hoping to post something positive tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

Analisa, guilt is a negative emotion. Do not succumb to negativity. If you ate something that does not concur with your diet plan, accept it and move on. Three weeks is not enough time to start seeing results. Do you feel better on this plan? You haven't weighed in yet. So why are you prejudging? Let uss know tomorrow how you got on.

You and I started about in the same place. I really first noticed a change in clothes after 4 weeks, but I had lost about 9 pounds at that point. I had a stall in week 5 and 6 and cut out artificial sweeteners and made sure I had enough veg. carbs. and only 5 "other carbs" and lowered my overall calories to 1400 (I think - that was before I started fatsecret). I also limited cheese to 1 oz a day and cut out nuts and sunflower seeds to jump start Induction again and have since lost 5.5 more pounds in the last 2 weeks. You are exercising, and your food entries look okay to me, the % of carb, protein, and fat. Do you think your overall calories might be too high? I also am keeping waist and hip measurements, and the 2 weeks that I didn't lose on the scale, I lost inches. So in my humble opinion, you are on track - keep on keeping on -- you will see results!! Congratulations on your success so far!! :)

Just looked at your food diary hun. Not sure about Atkins, but shouldn't you be on 20g carbs daily? You've also put stuff on there twice or did you eat double? Are you not supposed to be on low carb?
