I am watching my calorie intake (1800 daily).. and since this yesterday I have lost 1.2 lbs-- and since I started this life style change at the beginning of April I have lost 30.2 lbs (which equals to bout 6 lbs a week).. should I be concerned? Ok also I have 144 lbs to go on my diet..

Rate of weight loss is based on many factors such as: genetics, male/female (males lose quicker because they have more muscle than women), age, activity levels, types of diet, caloric intake, etc. People who have a lot to lose tend to loser larger amounts than the those with less to lose. As you lose, the rate of loss will slow. If you are concerned, you can raise your caloric intake to 2000 a day and see if that helps slow it a little. I think as long as you are getting the proper nutrients for your body and you feel good, then you should be fine. It's pretty normal to have those big losses when you have so much to lose. Listen to your body and do what you feel is appropriate for you. Enjoy eating more now because it will get harder the closer to goal you get.
