Busy weekend ahead. Facing lots of food obstacles. Dinner with friends tonight and tomorrow night. Tomorrow night is mexican which is going to be difficult on Atkins. Any suggestions as to what would be good options? I don't want to screw up now. Monday will be three weeks of closely following lo carb. I don't want to mess this up!

I used to do Atkins...tough to maintain but rewarding. for Mexican food try fajitas and just eat the meat, maybe veggies, or have a salad and steak strips. No chips!

love love mexican food! stick with fajitas (avoid or ask for no rice & beans). a lot of mexican places will also make a burrito "bowl" which is just the inside of the burrito, but order without rice/beans. my favorite local mexican place makes a burrito with meat, veggies & cheese and i eat with a fork and skip the tortilla. you could also try chili rellenos; that's not breading on the outside, it's egg white foam. also, see if they offer a carne asada steak (it's just a very thin steak usually with onions and salsa on top). as brenda says, avoid the chips, rice & beans! enjoy your night out!!
