Dear Journal;

It's been too long and I have been guilty in all things food and exercise. It began with the end of my "no white stuff challenge" followed by Good Friday and Easter celebrations (food and chocolate), three family birthday celebrations in the last 2 weeks and out of town guests. Too much eating, sitting around, catching up and cake. Decadent and very bad of me. My scale has gone up and I don't want to record my weight. I've gotten out of my mode and some of my bad habits have come back, so HELP! It's time to get serious again. We will be having more guests soon as more family arrive in town over the next little while to celebrate Mother's Day with my 88 year old Mother. Nice but more eating and more celebrations on the horizon. I wish there would be another similar FS challenge as the one I just completed. It really helped.


Exercise-wise,dragon boating is starting up soon and I'm looking forward to getting onto the water after a long hard winter. It's always more fun exercising with a team. With the weight I've lost, I can now get into my old gear again and I'm feeling better about that.

Anyway, the recent heavy winter and snow resulted in a leak in our "new" roof of 3 years. This was the second major leak with this new roof. Instead of going to the company or insurance, however, my dear hubby has been repairing it himself...drywall dust and ceiling droppings everywhere. What a mess, especially with out of town guests, although we have managed to clean up much of it. The job still needs completion and the dust persists.

All in all, with spring around the corner and the tulips just beginning to come up, there is sign of new life and it's time for new beginnings. I'm planning on getting down to business after a rather serious lapse in all things food and exercise. So go girl go! I can do this. Have a good week.

I am having similar issues. This year I have lost some control, gained bad habits and weight. I joined a challenge after Easter to turn it around but struggling to get back on track. Plus, we had snow on the weekend after a few days of wonderful summer shorts weather. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone and this week will be great. Go Egdw Go!

Thanks, meonadiet. I always find if I commit to a specific FS challenge I do better. I haven't found one recently that I like, but will keep on checking. The support from people such as yourself is incredibly encouraging. That's what's so great about FS. Time to get out and exercise,... Get out there, eat well and record, and fit in some exercise. You'll get back on track, especially with support on this site.
