Yum yum.
It's what I call real bacon - from a pig that was pastured on a farm I've actually been to. The flavor difference between "real pigs" and commercial hogs that are bred and fed for the leanest meat possible is unbelievable if you've never tried it. Also, more Omega 3 and the good cholesterol, amongst some other nutrients missing from "the other white meat."
We have been getting pork, beef, and chicken from this farm for years. When our oldest was 2, she wanted sausage and eggs for breakfast. I was out of "real pig" sausage, so I made the quick drive to the grocery and grabbed some JC Potter - nowhere near the lowest quality cheapest option
She took one bite and put it down, saying " no, I want SAUSAGE!"

I cooked bacon for my grandson last week. It was thick slice and it looked like yours, but was no way as tasty as yours. I even used the cast iron fry pan.

Cast iron is definitely the best pan for bacon, regardless of source!
