My meal after moving rock this afternoon. Chicken breast with roasted/dried tomato and sour cream sauce. That's my hybrid tortilla flatbread on the side.

Thank you DP, Bear🐻, bb, and Shrewdness. Our neighbor brought over a bunch of ripe tomatoes, so I roasted them. Actually, I dried them in the oven for 2 hours with olive oil, Italian seasoning and balsamic vinegar. The flatbread was a goof on my part. I meant to make Masa bread, but the yeast didn't rise, so flatbread was the result. Came out pretty good considering it wasn't deliberate. It did have piloncillo, brown sugar in a cone shape not as sweet as regular brown sugar, so I'm sure that added a lot to the taste. 😊

I think sometimes when recipes gone wrong or shortage on said needed items pays for a great turn out in return. I like when I can use in place of , and use what's on hand because sometimes they just taste better, rewards 💯✔

BB, I completely agree. I enjoy tweaking recipes depending on what I have on hand. I once read an article on minimalism and how that concept could also be applied to cooking. It mentioned how buying ingredients for a dish you will only be making a few times is being wasteful. Of course it depends on the ingredients and their shelf life, but I think you understand the point. Besides, it's fun. 😁

Yes that's what I was thinking about, tweaking and using every resources on hand. I was taught want not, waste not. I surely agreed that buying the main staples and limited not essential items. I love how you improvised the bread. And made those tomatoes kinda like sun dried. Still delicious in my set of💙💙 👀💙💙

BB, our neighbor also gave us milk and rice, so I will be making rice pudding and giving it to all of our neighbors. It's only my husband and me and while we do have a freezer, we have more than enough for ourselves. We have amazing neighbors. 💖

Thank you D and wifey. ❤ It was really good. The chicken breast are from Butcher Box and really tasty. I added chopped garlic and onion flakes and mixed sour cream with half & half for the sauce. The balsamic vinegar in the tomatoes added a lot of flavor. 😋 Hope you both are having a wonderful weekend. We're on our way to Phoenix to buy out granddaughter's Easter present. Only 5 hours away! 😁
