Maine coon ~ thank you 😊 I feel much better than before and have been walking most every day. Back in 2018, photos remind me of how bloated I felt and looked during that time.

Hi little_mermee, I am originally from Oklahoma. The tradition is popular in the South. My mom use to smash Blackeyed Peas and feed us kids when we were infants. I’ve been eating them all of my life. Happy New Year 🎊

I made a nice pot of those today, but I’d forgotten to buy an onion to add to it. Oh well, next time. Great picture!

Rig4dive ~ thank you and I bet your blackeyed peas were delicious. In addition to a large onion, I add a large shallot too. Very yummy.

Hi ruthe1213, I am so superstitious, I would take them out of the freezer and microwave them super fast before midnight. LOL. Happy new year.

Thank you Moon ~ eating blackeyed peas on New Year’s Day is a great and yummy tradition 💕. I don’t meet many who practice this tradition too.
