Remember your “why”. What is your “why” for wanting to reduce your weight. Sometimes I forget why I started. Several reasons but the one that most stands out is I signed up for weight loss surgery (nothing wrong with anyone who chose this was as I know it’s still a lot of work). I really don’t want to get the surgery and now with covid it will be pushed back even further. When I got my letter it said 24-26 months. So I said to myself, why not give this a real shot and try on my own. That gives me two years to do it on my own. So that’s my biggest why, I don’t want to get surgery unless I have to. My other reasons are to be healthier, have more energy, less pain, more flexibility, better sleep and be able to do more in life. I’d love to hear what your why is. Have a great day.

My daughter is my #1 reason why. Next is feeling confident, healthy, and happy!

I echo Destdol's reasons, except with a son instead of daughter, and also yours, i.e. health, energy, less pain, more flexibility, better sleep, and the capacity to do more. And simply put, it's nice to feel lighter on my feet, and not to feel a lot of pressure just from bending over. :-) It's also gratifying to simplify my eating and feel in better control of what I consume. Simple isn't always easy, but it gets easier with practice.
