mars2kids's Journal, 30 Oct 13

I got my workout in yesterday, so now let's see if I can get one done today too. I definitely need it. Tomorrow is Halloween, so there will be lots of candy, but hopefully lots of walking too.

My eating yesterday evening could have been much better. I am in the bad habit again of getting a snack after the kids go to bed. I need to be strong and just not eat anything after they go to bed, but for some reason it's turned into something that relaxes me before bed. I should just go to bed or find something better to do (no baths, I hate baths). I need to figure this out.

I was going to weigh in on the 1st, but I'm weighing tomorrow since I'll be gone the 1st. I'm sure I'll be up, but I need to see the number and know where I'm headed. I tried to change my goal weight on here to 130 instead of 125, because I think 130 is more realistic for me to maintain. If I get to 130 then we'll see from there.

Happy Hump Day!!

Too relax a lot of the time, I do yoga. Why not get a yoga DVD that is for relaxation for bedtime. I know there are several at collagevideo.com that are called Yoga for PM. It helps you relax your muscles, focus your mind, and get ready to sleep all night. It might also help with your restlessness at night. They are usually only about 20 to 30 minutes. If your kids are asleep, put the dvd on in the living room (if your husband doesn't mind) or if you have a tv and dvd player in your bedroom, put the lights on low, and relax. Make sure your husband knows not to bother your.

Another thing you could try, if you have an MP3 player, is to download some relaxing music be it classical, jazz, nature sounds, whatever, get ready for bed, get into bed, lay the MP3 player on your chest, put the ear buds in, close your eyes and just listen.

Grab a Carbmaster yogurt...4 g carbs and lots of flavors to choose from....Kroger sells it. It fills in the gaps and may help you relax and be healthy all at the same time! Our neighborhood just moved Halloween trick or treating to Friday due to stormy weather on the horizon.

Thanks for the suggstions! Yoga is a good idea, I'll have to check that out. I have a couple of DVD's, but they aren't really relaxing yoga, so I'll have to check out that site. I always read before bed, maybe I need to start doing that a little earlier, especially on those nights I just have the TV on for noise.
