My summer of summits has come to an end. I hiked 23 peaks with a few repeats for a total of 27 summits this summer. I hiked 125+ miles which I'm proud of. It was awesome but the real world is calling now. Below are a some highlight photos from my last few hikes!

I'm a stress eater, unfortunately. My baby sister left college after just 3 weeks due to irresponsible suitemates at her dorm. The other girls were "joking" about hooking up with people at parties who tested positive for Covid. The school wouldn't allow her to switch rooms. She packed up and drove home the next day. The day after that, she got a call that her suitemates and roommate tested positive for Covid and to isolate. We were worried because she is home with my mom who has a few health issues. She tested negative but is still isolating for another week to be safe.

I got the call recently that after 6 months of being furloughed, my job would be reopening but they couldn't say when, just keep checking my schedule for my first shift. In the days leading up, I definitely felt like binge eating out of stress and nerves - I'm a casino dealer and there are a TON of changes and new procedures we have to learn and follow. I over-ate for sure but didn't binge. I still tracked even though I knew the counts would be disappointing.

Last Thursday at 9am, they called and asked me to come in at 11am (talk about short notice!). I worked till 9pm then returned again at 7am Friday. It was a rough reintroduction to work! I was so busy and stressed those first few days that I hardly ate - also frustrating and not healthy for me.

I'm hopeful that getting back into an actual routine with a new schedule (8a-4pm instead of my old schedule of 12p-8p) will help me focus and stay on track with my weight and health goals! Getting home that early in the day will free up a few hours for walks and home workouts.

I bring food from home and could use some suggestions on food I can bring that doesn't require a fridge or microwave - I don't have access to those community items at work. I need something other than granola bars and apples!

Those pictures are fantastic. I am so fascinated that you work at a casino. Really be safe in these times. How about tuna packs that come with tuna salad and crackers in a box. Always crackers, fruit, like grapes and of course Pband j. Cant think of more at the moment. be safe😷🙏

You know OSU had same problem with kids throwing partys when they know they have the virus. so many have it they bussed kids to local motel for quarantine. You'd think if you are in college you'd have more smarts.

👋🏼Delirium, since you asked...I like Pure Protein bars (@200 cals w/20g protein) and Premier Protein nut bars (@190 cals w/12g protein). Target carries mini bagels that are pretty tasty for 100 cals each. Planters has a deluxe pistachio mix with almonds and cashews. Since I'm a chip fiend, I found Quest tortilla-style chips and Cheez-It Snap'd crackers (both brands have various flavors). Of course, there's always bananas, berries, and other fruit.

Wow! Amazing number of hikes, lots of drama and pressure... Goodness, girl! I'm glad you can be back to work, but I am sure the stress from everything has to be tough. Hang in there and keep logging. It does help. It is good you will have some late afternoon and evening hours available for yourself. I absolutely love the photos! You look lovely and that final picture with the sun rays is stunning. It certainly has been a crazy 2020 for you so far. Hang in there!

“Summer of summits” - I love that! Beautiful pictures and sunrise/sunset. I’m back at work fora couple of weeks now too. Super stressful but just take it one day at a time. As for your question about no micro or fridge: fruit, veg, & sandwiches.

These are all great suggestions, thank you all so much! And thank you to all for the compliments and words of encouragement! Change is often difficult. It's been hard on me transitioning from staying home and social distancing to returning to a busy entertainment venue for work. In the prior 6 months, I really only went hiking or to my mom's house. I saw zero friends, didn't travel, didn't go shopping in stores and went out for outdoor dining just once. Thankfully, my company put strict policies and procedures in place to protect the health of employees and guests to the best of their ability. They are going above and beyond what the state required for us to reopen. Thank you again to my friends and community here, you guys are the best 💖

Beautiful pictures! What mountains are these? You have had so much on your plate (so to speak), but you've got this. You have a good attitude and strength. All I would add to everyone else's suggestions is - celery sticks. Make them at home, and if you end up not having a lunch pail with ice packs they should still be fine. At times mine stay in a baggie on my desk all day until I eat them and they are in good shape. Celery and peanut butter. Yum.

Gorgeous pictures! That’s quite an accomplishment! 💪🏻😃 I’m so sorry about all the stress your family had to endure because of inconsiderate foolishness of others. Glad your sister tested negative.

"Hummstir" by Stiritup (Walmart, etc) is an organic no-refrigeration-needed Hummus. Add crackers/veggies. An oil (Italian dressing) based pasta salad- add spinach and veggies like tomato and carrots. Apples and peanut butter in pita/sandwich (a little lemon juice can keep the sliced apples from browning (adds a lovely slight tangy flavor too). Gain bowls.
