atriel2's Journal, 10 Sep 20

I had a visit with my naturopath yesterday and the good news is that it's probably my stress levels and the associated hormones that are causing the weight loss stall.
Three months IS a plateau and I, the person that never believed in those, is in the midst of one.

So I've started a course of adaptogens. I'm going to HAVE to learn how to de-stress and relax - which is good for everything, not just weight loss and fitness.
I've gone most of my life thinking that relaxation was just a thing that some people did and some people didn't.
I never thought about it as a skill that some people learned. Relaxation isn't one of my skills or talents so I'm on the mission to learn how to do that.

In the meantime, I am over my head with orders and work. We are celebrating 10 years in business this month, which for my industry is actually pretty impressive.

I hope you all are doing well and meeting your goals.

It sounds like a good step in a good direction to learn to relax for your physical and mental health! You speak of a halt in your weight loss. Might your body just be happy here and it is OK? You see mighty little to me! 😁 And how is your rib? Has it all healed finally... Or was that a very long time ago? I am glad your business is doing so well! Busy times, but it must make you feel like such a success!

@Moopie - *#$@!! Do you mean to tell me there's no one thing I can 'just cut out' and the pounds will melt away? Despite all of the ads on the internet? You know what they say, you can't put anything not true on the internet. 😂😂😂 I appreciate you, lady. Thank you for being amazing and inspiring. ❤️

Hey Melissa! I was thinking about you and your daughter earlier. I hope you guys are okay? I'm only 5'1, and very small boned. My ideal weight swings from 98-115. So I'm only around 20-ish pounds away from the very top of my height/ weight scale. My rib is doing so much better! I am healed up and free to terrorize the household and neighborhood. I rescued a little garden snake from the kids next door. So. You know. All in a day's work for the neighborhood witch. ;)

Thank you, atriel2! We have to wait now for the scan results. It is possible nothing will show up. We are trying to be prepared for anything. We just so much want her to fianlly feel good again. Since I am tall and big, it is hard for me to imagine your weight. You fit in with your "skinny" chicks, but I guess you will be even thinner before long. I am glad your rib is doing better and you are ready to swoop in to rescue the needy! I'd like to have you in my "hood!"😁
