I got tired of my little red chili avatar, and decided to choose something more personal. I don't want to post any photos of myself. I admire people who can, but feel more comfortable remaining mysteriously anonymous.

So I tried adopting a few paintings - too big, too detailed, too busy, too not me. Then I found a photo of a model who 25 years ago could have passed for my long lost twin. I turned her photo into a drawing and she looked even more like me, may be I would not have posed that boldly 25 years ago, but otherwise I think I could have fooled my mom. Done. She was representing me on FS all day long today.

But something felt wrong. Then I realized I do not feel comfortable being represented by a drawing of a woman who looks like me but half my age. We always think that we would like to look younger. But I want to look myself. Gone are my long golden locks and slim waist, but they are replaced by experince, wisdom, accomplishments and piece of mind. I was slimmer and prettier, but I am not sure I was happier. At least I feel surprisingly comfortable with getting older.

By the evening I retired her and replaced her with my familiar avatar. I am stil in search of an image that I can put on my home page to inspire me to work on further improving myself.
