pumakitten's Journal, 04 Oct 13

Yep, Friday weigh in...up a little to 258. I haven't been very good this week. We had pizza on Sunday, I made Rigatoni on Monday, sandwiches made with Kings Hawaiian bread on Tuesday, Wednesday was ok, except for the piece of carrot cake, and last night was also ok, except for the carrot cake.

I told the hubby, that I think that little carrot cake craving is done now. That last bite of cake was so sickeningly sweet, I almost got sick!! I'm glad that little rebellion is now over. I made lettuce roll ups for lunch yesterday, and for supper on Wednesday. I think I'll do that more. I think I'll also use Romaine the next time instead of iceberg. At least I have a head of lettuce to make some salad with!!

I have an appointment today for Physical Therapy, so that means going to the gym too. I really feel great when I get out of that pool!! I think I'll tell the little girl at PT that she did indeed bruise my back side!! Also have to tell them I need to work on getting that right leg to be able to cross over my left knee, so I can get a sock on my foot with out a whole bunch of acrobatics!!

I have to remember to have the hubs help me later tonight or over the weekend, and get my measurements for this month, and see what I've lost in inches since the beginning of last month, and also the beginning of this quest in july. That should be interesting!!

I started to read my previous journals. I can even see a change there too!! Lovergirl654 had written a journal the other day, about how it would be nice to walk and exercise without the pain she now feels. I'm here to attest, that it will stop!! I just realized, after a 42 pound total loss (here says 30) that I no longer have the pain I had when I just walked!! Of course I've been going to physical therapy for my groin pain, but that is a different issue, and wasn't in the daily pain I had. The pain from standing, and walking is gone!! I no longer have the day after work out pain!! See sweetheart!! It will one day be gone!!! I didn't even realize it until I started to go back over my journals!!

That is one of the reasons I want to lose this excess baggage!! I have already lost the equivalent of an average 4 year old!! That is just one visualization of the loss. you could also imagine 8 5 pound bags of sugar!! I love figuring out good approximations like that. It makes the journey a little more fun!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I told my husband that I want to go to the Japanese restaurant for supper tonight. I have never been to one, and would like to try it out. I like Chinese food, but would like to go and see what the differences are. I do like to try new things as far as new and different foods. I really loved the Mediterranean restaurant in Morgantown. That will have to be another special weekend to go there.

Enough about food...lol!!! Time to go get ready for PT and the gym. Happy Friday everyone!!

MMM...Japanese. Sushi is one of my favorites. A little high on the carbs, but otherwise healthy. I flopped up on my diet this week too. Pizza. It was only a matter of time... Anyway, back on the wagon! Enjoy your time at the gym.

This must have been the week for pizza. When we were on vacation we found a place that served deep dish Chicago pizza so my hubby wanted it here at home. I found a recipe that was easy and soooo good. I figured if I made it myself I could control the ingredients better. We had it Friday night and leftovers Sat and Sunday. Time for me to get back at it again. I've never eaten Japanese but I love Chinese. I know how you feel about the pain, Lu. That's one of the reasons I started this again. I hated hurting so much. The pain hasn't gone completely away, but it's eased up a lot! Keep going, Lady. You're such a positive inspiration! You're doing great!!!
