FullaBella's Journal, 23 Sep 13

I'm utterly convinced the earth rotates faster on Sunday. Yesterday it seemed to kick into turbo boost. The weather was beautiful - cool but sunny - and perfect for lounging on the deck, going to the festival, walking to the market and just generally finding one excuse after another to be outside.

I totally needed it too as Saturday required 'all hands on deck' when the day full of stressors seemed to lay me bare and vulnerable. The faith cruise transformed into 'battle ship Bella' as I defended myself against the desire to eat my emotions to fill the 'void' I felt in my soul. I am proud to report no injuries or casualties. Historically though whenever I boast of my victories the snack stalker stages a surprise attack at sundown. So I'm putting this out to the universe now: I will remain strong and logical. I will not use food to sooth my emotions.

New project looming. I'm going to repurpose (love that word) an old suitcase into a bed for Mushy. I will begin by testing paint on the bottom of it this evening and if it works I'll probably do something abstract with the palette knives. It has a pretty pink satin lining so perfect for my little Diva once I add a bed and hot-glue some bling to it. She sits on the window of my store during the day (yes, many a time my customers sing 'how much is that doggy in the window' to me) so I'll want to make it pretty to 'do her proud'.

Chia seeds. Somehow I'd forgotten, grown immune to, bored or something with them. Who knows. Nonetheless I found them in my pantry this weekend and rediscovered their magical effect on me. Very filling and long lasting when I stir them up in hot cereal or yogurt. I may even toss a scoop of them into some pan seared fish & vegetables for dinner.

And here's the latest from my fine feathered friends. I totally love the sparrow on the feeder; can't figure out if it's 'stuck' or trying to pry the lid off.

Thank you for reading and viewing. Hope you're all having a nice day.

Bella

It totally spins faster on Sundays.. what's the deal with that?? Your suitcase pet bed sounds absolutely awesome!! She will be proud to lay in it.. Your journal reminded me that I have some Chia seeds in the pantry that I bought like a month ago and never figured out how to use.. what do you do with them?? You just stir them into whatever? Hmm.. will have to do some more research on them.. Love your bird pictures, as usual!! I'll have to take some of my own to share.. Especially love the ones of the bird bath and the last one with the morning dove?? and sparrow! :) They look like they're exchanging a pretty good story! :)

@Erika - I toss chia seeds in hot cereal and stir them up in yogurt. I've put them in bottled water a few times - they're fun to watch, like sea monkeys, LOL. Yep, I named those two 'the gossipers' .. I called it a mourning dove too but DH said 'pigeon' .. I think it's a dove. He said it was rare to see those two together.. I told them they pal all the time in the back yard. Maybe they don't know they aren't the same species.

Beautiful shots today! Love them! I'm glad the weather cooperated for your town festival and that you got to enjoy it. I know how you feel about making pronouncements and fearing that you will sabotage yourself later for having made them. I seem to fall victim to the same syndrome. The suitcase project sounds wonderful! If it turns out the way you like, please post a picture :)

@Evelyn - thank you - I didn't notice I'd put two of them in twice.. must have missed something w/the copy paste from Imgur; will have to get the rest tomorrow. Yeah, something about saying 'I done good' seems to bring out the rebel in me to show me just how 'bad I can be' but HISTORY has proven just trying to fly below radar didn't help either so new plan... brag a little and ask the universe for support. One day at a time, aye?

My sweet Bella, finally caught up on your journals. Love, love LOVE your pics. Did I tell you I love them? They are amazing! And the cardinal - wow, no words. You are really utilizing that camera and its functions. Can't wait to see what else you produce. I am so proud of you for going out into the rain and enjoying it. I have never had the courage to go out and play in the rain yet I would love to do it, maybe I will now knowing I am not alone in this? And I am also so proud of you for navigating the emotional waters on Sunday and surviving, not only surviving but coming out on top. I am sure the night stalker did not get you. You are strong, you are beautiful, you are woman, hear you roar. And can't wait to see a picture of Mushy Face's new bed. I never did see a picture of mushyface. For some reason the pics I see, I didn't see your sweetie. So hope you can repost a pic of her, perhaps in her new blinged out bed! Have an awesome day my super hero! xxxx And I still think you would make a great author, you have a fabulous way with words.

Love the picture of the bird trying to pry the lid off of the feeder. It looks like he is tired of eating seeds one at a time and just wants to wolf them all down....very much like me and chocolate.

The pictures are such a balm to my soul. Thanks for sharing. And I totaly get the stalker coming out to sabotage the forward momentum. good thing you are on the lookout - I need to hire a lookout for my stalker - she's still very clever and cunning....

The pictures are amazing! I think it's great you can make something new out of something that is no longer in use and a pet bed sounds perfect for an old suitcase. Hope the rest of your day is great.

To everyone else - thank you for the kind comments and I'm glad you enjoy the photos. You know, again with the relating everything to my eating, this is just another example. I probably take a 1000 shots with the camera for the few that actually get uploaded and posted. Says something for practice, patience and dedication to achieve what we want. I can't just get my health right with one meal, one month or one year. I have to give it time. I've never posted a picture of Mushy - I may have to do that little debut if / when I finish her bed. It's not coming along the way I'd hoped but I haven't given up on it completely yet. Thanks again - sorry I am behind on replying to every single comment but please know I do appreciate your time, support and feedback.

Sorry I am commenting on your past journals - I just can't help myself. Love the bird lifting the lid. Need to enter that into a contest. No replies necessary to my back commenting. I have so missed reading you. Glad I am back.
