Wednesday Sept 11/13 A special day in history as I offer up a prayer for those who lost their lives 12 years ago today. R.I.P.
Day 5 Was so tired last night & went to bed at 11.15pm only to get up an hour later as I couldn't sleep!! Took a sleeping pill & went back to bed at 1.20am. Fell asleep some time after that. I woke up just before 8, but couldn't talk myself into getting up till around 10am. I treadmilled for 45mins, still at speed 2mph & an incline of 2. Then I did stretching for 20mins. Brunch at 1pm, was 1 c of porridge with a level tsp of raw bran in it & 1/3 tsp salt & approx 1c of 1% milk. I drank water for the afternoon with a lemon slice in it & later I had a glass of iced tea (sugar-free). I vacuumed the living room. I had Gene pull the furniture away from the walls, so that I could vacuum underneath. Then I shampooed the main area of the rug, my car mats & our two bar stools. For supper I had 3 small pcs of oven-fried battered fish, 10 potato wedges (also done in the oven) a sm salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes & green onion & approx 1 c of (frozen) peas. Then I went to Hydrotherapy at the hospital & I parked the 3 blocks away & walked......very slowly!! My legs & thighs are aching from the unaccustomed exercise. I know that will get easier if I keep at it. I dead headed some flowers when I got home, but didn't take the dog for a walk. That would have been pushing myself. I have blisters under my toes on both feet. Watched TV for a little while. Had my 1/2 glass of orange juice & a piece of sugarless gum. Feeling a little craving for something sweet, but I am determined (at the moment!!) to not give in to it. Rest of evening, just drinking either hot water or cold water.
