Walking, swimming, lawn mowing....a good mix of exercise for me today. After getting rained out on the lawn on Tuesday, I finished up the front yesterday and tackled the backyard this morning. Pool felt GREAT after walking and mowing, but I still pushed to swim laps for 10 minutes. It's pretty minor exercise, but I want to keep myself in the pool for as long as the temperatures hold out.

My sister is still struggling. I never thought she had any kind of problems with self-worth, but, right now, she has ZERO. How did that happen? Where did it go? She saw her regular doctor yesterday and will be back on some anti-depressants. Prescriptions don't solve the underlying problems, but they can help her function as she works through her issues.

There's a car show this weekend and I actually clipped the info from the paper and put it into DH's "mailbox." We'll see if he even notices it before the event - LOL! I'm really not into going, but it's at a very convenient location, so if I EVER have to go to a show, this would be the one. Can you tell I'm really not into this???? But, I know he generally is, so.....(sigh). If he just goes to see what this show is all about, that would be tolerable....hopefully, he won't enter his car, as then he/we would be committed for the entire day (just shoot me now - LOL!).

NFL regular season kicks off tonight! YAY!!!! The Packers don't play until Sunday. I'm hoping they can have a MUCH better showing against the 49ers than they had last year. Go Pack!

You must feel relieved to finally get the lawn mowed ahead of the next rain storm - what a crazy summer! I don't care for the shows much either. Around here we have a lot of Cruizes, which I like better. People come, park their rides, trade a little BS, and then go home when they have had enough.

PS - As for your sister, I know first hand what a verbally abusive man can do to your self esteem. Wishing her all the best.

It's so funny, how some so look forward to football, while others, (like me), are thinking...what? Really? Can't be! Screws up all my TV shows! As for your sister, I am so glad to hear she is getting some help. Depression is nothing to fool around with, I took meds for years.

Buffy, I've only been on one Cruize, which was pretty nice. Everyone drove at a leisurely pace on back roads to a catfish restaurant. Everybody parked, looked at everyone else's cars, ate some catfish, talked and then left whenever they wanted. A very nice, leisurely afternoon. BTW....so far, DH hasn't seen the info on the show and hasn't said he heard about it on the radio, or TV... maybe I won't have to go after all! But, I s-u-p-p-o-s-e I'll probably tell him about it later tonight. The things we do......

GG, with 3 NFL teams based here in Florida, I get great joy out of flying my Packers flag! In actuality, there are WAY more college flags being flown (Alabama, Auburn, Fla. Gators, etc.)than NFL. My sister has one more weekend to endure before her therapist appointment next week. Unfortunately, it's an "anniversary" of the time they met in person, so I'm not looking to see much improvement in her emotional state. At least, she'll have had a couple of days on the meds, so I can always hope that will help.

Sandy, so sorry about your sis. I hope you can help her through it. That's terribly sad. NFL, ugh! I'll be there at midnight.
