The fates conspired today to keep me from my exercise....and they FAILED!!!

I woke up too early due to impending storms. Got the dogs up and out, before they'd refuse to go, and gave my Nervous Nellie her pill. Fortunately, the storms stayed offshore, so we just had a good hour's worth of thunder....enough to keep me from sleeping anymore.

I was to volunteer at church today, so no exercise walking before that. Then, it was off to the gym and to also consign a few items.

The roads to the gym were blocked by emergency vehicles (I kid you not...) but I followed my nose back around some buildings and through a couple parking lots to find my way there anyway! Yay me!!! Then, when I got to the door, I found that there was an exercise going on (aka "drill", not real exercise, which WAS going on in the building...). Unfortunately, if I went in the building, I would be required to stay there for the duration of said exercise, and, of course, that was an unknown. Sometimes these exercises go on at a high level for quite some time....as in, hours.....sometimes they're about to wrap up. You just never know. I decided to not take a chance and headed back home.

By the time I got home, it was raining - so what else is new these days.

Even though I was tired, and a bit frustrated, I still talked myself into getting on Stairmaster for 30 minutes. (I'd do a happy dance, here, but I'm still tired - LOL!)

So take THAT, you Dastardly Fates!!!
