Kenna- I'm in SiCal too! My neighbors have a thyme hedge.
Br_e_co - The Rosemary is rosemary officinalis and it smells incredible. The lavender is a drought resistant strain that has a lot of eugenol and thymol in it so the fragrance is really medicinal. I work with about 8 different types of lavender essential oil regularly. It's one of my most favorite things.

Jenni- My poor neighbors may not have enjoyed it as much as I did. They weren't hearing the rest of the instruments so it was (to them) an unamplified bass and me singing. 😂
