Sandy701's Journal, 13 Aug 13

For the 2nd day in a row, my body would not leave 153 on the scale. Actually, it's been more days than that, but I REALLY expected a drop no later than yesterday. C'mon body...I'm on my Labor Day Blitz, here!!!! LOL!!!

So.....I'm ignoring it. I'm focusing on the next pound to be dropped, as if I'm already at 152. Silly mind game, I know, but maybe it'll work and prevent me from feeling the frustration that can lead me to a PB gorging. I actually had a very reasonable (partial) serving of PB this morning and have stopped myself from having any more.....focusing on 151, dontcha know.

Storminess prevented any exercise walking this AM, but I managed to get 30 minutes of lap swimming done in between weather systems. Exercise??? Done....check.

Koodos to you for getting your exercise in and for mind over matter! That's a great mantra, thinking yourself thin! Scale has to move for you with that thinking!

Aggie, I've tried just about everything else, so gotta give this mind game a try! LOL!

Good mind game - frustration does not help a thing. Weight loss is like running uphill - the closer you get to the top the harder it is.

Thanks Buffy & Bren. Sometimes I think frustration actually stops weight loss....kind of like stress. I'm keeping a log of my daily weight here at home, down to the tenths of a pound, so I can look back and immediately see how I'm tracking. Reviewing my running weekly losses helps when it seems like that scale is not moving. I feel my patience has worn thin after so much time meandering around in the 150's and 160's. Just want to be back at my goal - YESTERDAY! LOL! :)
