SELouisiana's Journal, 14 May 13

My body was so tired during my workouts this morning. My mind was totally rested though. A couple nights ago i began turning off anything with a light by 9pm so that I can rest properly. I figured i should bring out the "big guns" so I began wearing my beautyrest mask and earplugs again for optimum sleep results too. I awoke mentally refreshed but my body was just dragging along. It still is. I just had lunch and consumed a majority of my calories for today. My ISO-100 smooth banana flavor protein powder tastes so good. I think its mostly the smell of it...oh my goodness it smells just like banana pudding...i could just die with my nose in the jar lol. I'm gonna try the gourmet chocolate and the cookies and cream flavors next month. Im REALLY looking forward to that! I dont remember exactly what my RDI is on FS but i do recall it being fairly high. I found this article on Shape.com that was about the Harris-Benedict Equation which was really helpful to read, learn, and apply. I adjusted my calories accordingly and will use the next couple weeks to watch my progress and adjust again if needed.

Overall I feel positive and very grateful for today. Im sure I will get all of my energy back as the week progresses with my newly implemented sleep practices. :)

Proper rest is just as important as "FUEL" intake!!! Compare Harris-Benedict to Mifflin-St. Jeor and see how close they are. It might help you adjust your daily "FUEL" intake requirements. Keep On Keepin' On :)

Thank you so much! Will research Mifflin-St. Jeor this evening!! :D I'm also on my monthly cycle so im sure that is the major culprit to my fatigue. I needed to adjust my sleep practices anyway though. It was the right move for me.

Great job on your sleep. Sleep is so important for mind, body, and weight loss. Keep it up!
